As the Southwest Airlines Community Outreach team prepares to transition from one technology system to another, we can no longer accept any donation requests for charitable events beyond November 30, 2015. Therefore, if your event takes place after November 30, then please visit in the fall to submit your donation request. Note: beginning today requests submitted for events after November 30 will be declined. However, if a request was submitted prior to this message, then it will follow the normal evaluation process. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.

Southwest Airlines Charitable Giving

Welcome to the Southwest Airlines Charitable Giving online request page. Southwest Airlines is committed to giving back to the communities where our Customers and Employees live and work through our support of qualified 501(c)(3) organizations and programs focused on the following areas of support:

  • Organizations that aid Families Facing Serious Illnesses
  • Programs and organizations that provide support for our Military and their Families when separated by duty
  • Organizations that assist in Disaster Preparedness and Response
  • Programs that foster action and create ideas to benefit our planet

Please review our guidelines to make sure your request fits within our parameters. If so, simply create an account in order to input and submit your donation request. We require that a copy of your organization's 501(c)(3) determination letter from the IRS be uploaded in a pdf format for consideration. A sample IRS determination letter can be found here. This information assists us in making the best evaluation of your proposal. You also have the ability to add images and an attachment within the application. Note: We no longer accept requests sent by mail, fax or e-mail.

Southwest Airlines receives thousands of requests each month; because of this volume, we regret that we cannot respond immediately. You will receive an automatic response upon submitting your proposal so that you know that we have received it. If you do not receive this within 24 hours, please check that you completed the request and hit the submit button. We will respond at least 30 days prior to your event. Please ensure that your organization only submits one request per event (per calendar year).
